Keeping titles still in livetype

I'm trying to create a title as a part of a video clip. I want to keep the title stationary on an object while the video moves. The scene is the camera scrolling up a stairwell. I want the title to be on the banister and stay on the banister throughout the whole scene. How can I do this? Everytime I attempt it, the title just moves with the camera. I don't know how to do this. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
