Final Conversion from 24-bit to 16-bit for Audio CDs

After tracking and mixing a 24-bit song in Logic I typically bounce a 24-bit stereo wav for further use in a mastering suite. The final output file is also 24-bit. I've been importing the 24-bit files into WaveBurner and burning the final master cd from there. I'm assuming WaveBurner must be down converting from 24 to 16 bit in order to burn the audio cd. Is this the best way to downconvert in my situation? The only AD convertors I have are those in my Presonus Firepods and Logic. Thanks, the whole digital domain is a bit confusing sometimes...
