Aperture not importing in BW

I have A 3.2 and a Canon T1i. When I set the camera Picture Style to Monomchrome it takes BW photos and the previews on the camera show up as BW. Yes, I know the actual camera sensor is collecting all the color info as usual. When I import into Apereture the privie thumbnials on the Apreture import screen are BW- but when I go and click on one to view as asingle photo they all revert back to color. I take all RAW and import those into the app.

Why am I seeing the BW at first in Aperture, then they are all rest to color?
