Q: Wifi issues with iOS 5.0.1

IPad 2 keeps dropping wifi signal after iOS 5.0.1 update. NOT a problem with the wifi, as my iPhone 4 also updated to 5.0.1 and it keeps the wifi just fine - that is if the battery lasted long enough to test it -  the battery on the iPhone 4 DOES  deplete twice as fast AFTER the update is morning!!

here are some tips for better battery consumption.........

    Go to

    1 ) SETTINGS > Location services = turn off

    2) remove weather widget and stock widget from notification center

Settings > notification >edit > not in notification center

It worked for me hope it works for all of u as well...

Sorry again, I see latest post refers to iPhone settings for battery consumption. Can you tell me what settings you changed on the router to improve wifi connectivity?

    Thanks

I have two ipad 2s-  both worked beautifully at home and office----then came the system upgrade pushed out by apple---now I cant get on wifi at home unless I unplugged wifi router and let it reboot-----then it is only good for awhile and drops wifi.  My sony viao laptops does perfect the whole time.  Cant ask my company to reboot wifi so I cant use it at work now.

Spent 30 minutes on the phone with support--got escalted 2 levels and they will have to call me back----they acted like they did not know the problem existed.  Going to the store tonight for a refund or explanation.  Apparently Apple needs to be pushed into recognizing or admitting there is a problem.

Me too, I have notice that the range of my wifi using iPad 2 has decreased, sometimes disconnected, while my 2 laptop and tablet has good reception.
