how do i delete a template from the my template folder?
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2)
You open the folder from the Finder and you move unwanted items to the trash.
Under 10.7.x, the folder embedding the templates folder : Library from User Domain is hidden.
Press option key while triggering the Finder menu entitled "Go To"
My preferred scheme is to run this script :
do shell script "chflags nohidden ~/Library"
which will unhide the folder.

That doesn't find "my templates" it only shows all the premade templates.
Perfectly wrong !
If you don't search where you are urged to do we can't not help you.
In English, Bibliothèque is spelled Library.
The premade templates (the ones delivered by Apple) are embedded in the application itself.

It is possible she has installed Pages in her Account and not the System Library.

Hello
It makes no difference.
The application create the folder Templates and its subfolder My Templates in the Library folder of the User account.
Macintosh HD:Users:<userAccount>:Library:Application Support:iWork:Pages:Templates:My Templates:
Macintosh HD:Users:<userAccount>:Library:Application Support:iWork:Numbers:Templates:My Templates:
Macintosh HD:Users:<userAccount>:Library:Application Support:iWork:Keynote:Themes:
Keynote which was the 1st application doesn't use a subfolder My Themes.
As long as we don't create a custom template, there is no folder Templates and of course no subfolder My Templates.
When we save our first custom template with the defaults settings, the app create the folder and its subfolder.
Of course I may imagine that an user deleted the subfolder but in this case, I guess that he would not be asking about it here.

I also want to delete a custom template and followed your instructions to get to the Library folder. My Mac replies "The folder can't be found". I know where this template is held because I can see its location when I saved it. Is there another way to get to this hidden folder?
Search doesn't normally work in that area of your file structure. Just navigate to it.
Jerry
Hello Jerrold
Here is a perfectly normal search.
It's just not the default one.
