How do i fade an instrument in?

Im not sure if this is possible on garageband for ipad, but can you fade in instruments/tracks? The only thing related to fading is to make a general fade out automatically at the end of the song. Otherwise, it seems as though you can only set tracks to one volume level for the whole song.
