Notes icon missing
My Note icon is missing from IPad screen?
iPad 2, iOS 5.0.1
Did reset still no notes icon

Tried it on my 6s and reset did not work. Went to the Apple Store online and went to notes apple and tapped reload. It showed back up as noted but inside folder says icloud and my notes under that don't know how to get original icon back
The application should still be on the device? Are you sure that it did not get moved to a folder or offscreen accidentally? If you search for it on the device does it show up?
It's there somewhere, maybe on a different screen. Notes can't be deleted and can't be restricted either.
It shows up if I do a search or at the bottom of screen when hitting Home button twice, but not on any screen! Any suggestions?
Here are a number of things that are very basic - but often work.
Sync your iPad with iTunes again and while you are connected to iTunes - look on all of the screens in the apps tab of iTunes. It may have gotten placed onto a screen that you haven't seen yet.
Find the app in the task bar or in the search feature - launch the app - Create a new note and then see if t appears.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Quit the Notes App and restart. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus ➖ sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Have you tried Resetting the Home Screen?
I've tried all of these things and it only shows up on the bottom of the screen when I tap the home button twice. It is not on any screen. I've syned it and looked at the Apps when it is connected to my IMAC. It's really strange. I guess my other option is to restore the Ipad which I hate doing.
I don't blame you for not wanting to restore - hold off on that.
If you see it in iTunes while the iPad is connected to your Mac - have you tried dragging it onto another screen or into another folder?
Go to settings & RESET HOME SCREEN LAYOUT. This made the notes icon reapear.
