Safari gestures not working.

I have a 2.16Ghz MacBook with OSX 10.7 Lion and Safari 5.1.1 and I can't get the gestures to work at all. I'm thinking I have all the right software, but don't understand why I can't get any gestures to work, particularly Back and Forward in Safari.

What could I be doing wrong? Is there something else that I need to setup?

The problem depends probably from your Trackpad,

You have an old version of the Trackpad, if I'm not wrong you bought your computer during the summer 2007

and you have the old one, half surface , and half button.

I'm quite sure that it not compatibly cause it doesn't understand more then one finger .

Only Macbooks manfactured Late 2008 (unibody models) and after are fully compatible with Lions gestures
