Having a hard time with the show desktop gesture on a MB Air 11

I don't have big hands however, I am having a hard time on the "show desktop" gesture on my MacBook Air 11 (Lion). No problems at all with the Magic Trackpad on the iMac. I guess the surface of the trackpad on the MB Air is far too small.

Is anybody else facing the same issue?

This is not an answer to your question, but I do have a similar problem but in the opposite direction on my MacBook Pro. Since I had checked the option for Three Finger Drag in the trackpad settings, this forces the Mission Control gesture to a four finger up gesture instead of three finger up. This works ok with the trackpad on my MacBook Pro but not with the wireless trackpad connected. (I use an external montior, keyboard, and trackpad with my MacBook Pro). But if I disable the Three Finger Drag option, then I can use the three finger up gesture for Mission Control which then works on both trackpads.

Jose,

The four finger spread is a little tricky to master but here's some hints. Use the Thumb and 3 fingers. The fingers don't have to spread in different directions, just movement outward to the left/right will work. I've also found that moving the Thumb to the left, rightmost finger to the right and keeping the two middle fingers stationary also works. It doesn't take much movement to make it happen.
