adobe file will not open

I keep getting errors when trying to open adobe files: There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired.

However, the files will open on my iPhone, my iPad and on my PC.

I have a MacBook Pro running OS X Version 10.7.2

This is really frustrating.

Any suggestions?

What kind of Adobe file? Adobe has a slew of applications.

Thanks...It was just simple PDF files. I reinstalled Adobe Reader and it solved the problem (for now).

Did simply re-installing Adobe Reader solve this issue? I am having the same problem.
