Can't edit title on chart's axis

Hello there,

I scanned the discussion board for quite a while trying to find a similar question to mine but, alas, here I am posting it myself.

When I make a chart in Numbers and I want to edit the title of the axis, I hear the "boop" error sound and can't type anything. The only way around this has been writing the axis's title in a textbox/Pages and then copying it and pasting it back into the chart's axis. And forget about editing it afterwards.

I also had a friend confirm this error in his machine. We simply cannot write down the title of an axis in a chart.

I must admit I'm a recent convert from Excel after using it in combination with Word ended up corrupting my 9-pages-long .docx document due the next morning. Pages saved the evening, though the formatting was lost and I had to do all the charts from scratch. That did teach me a valuable lesson to avoid using Office for Mac at all costs. Ironically, I'm having a lot of issues with Numbers too. Is this the way Numbers is supposed to work? If so, is there a way around this?

I have the most updated version of Numbers as well.
