I signed up for iTunes Match today and on my iPhone I can no longer find the option to make a genius playlist. The icon is no longer in the center of the song bar. Help please.

Same here. If I turn on iTunes Match, the Genius icon comes back. If I turn it on, the icon goes away again.
Same here. No point in keeping match if they don't enable this.
I have seen it too, but you can still make Genius playlists through iTunes on your computer. Save them and they'll be accessible everywhere. It's not the same, but it's better than nothing for (hopefully) the short term.
Genius seems to be off when match is engaged. Also can't we get a simple choice of opening up genius in home share and match. My iPad and iPhone are now much more difficult to use in terms of genius.

Please allow iTunes Match on the iPhone to make Genius playlists!!! No point to iTunes Match without this feature.
How come no websites are reporting this glaring omission from this service? Will apple support please respond and explain why I can't make genius playlists on my iphone with match!?
Ugh, same here. This stinks!!! I love Genius and I love iTunes Match. Why can't I have both? The worst part is that if I turn off iTunes Match, ALL my playlists disappear from my iPhone. And I can only get them back if I do a sync with my computer. DISLIKE!!
in the HELP menu in iTunes I found this, note the last sentence:
Play a Genius playlist or Genius Mix
iTunes can create playlists—called “Genius playlists”—from songs in your library that go great together.
In addition to creating playlists based on particular songs, iTunes can turn your library into a set of commercial-free radio stations playing your favorite music from your library. This is called a “Genius Mix.”
To create Genius playlists and Genius Mixes, iTunes uses anonymous information about your library and other iTunes libraries.
To create Genius playlists and use Genius Mixes, you must turn on Genius, be connected to the Internet, and have an Apple ID. Genius is a free service.
Note: If you subscribe to iTunes Match, Genius is turned off.

Thanks for pointing this out. Not an omission they point out up front. I hope they fix it.
Imatch is getting worse and worse... (I'm stuck behind the "too many songs" limit, foolishly paid my $24.95 to try a workaround that I'm not at all happy with, and now I can't use Genius, either...)
The whole thing just stinks, and I really hope Apple fixes--that is, does away with--both the arbitrary limit and the loss of Genius, right quick... ...but I'm not holding my breath...
This is really lame Apple. Please fix it!
I agree. I love iTunes Match as a concept and I think they got it about 75% right. But taking away a feature like genius just doesn't make ANY sense to me. Why would they do that?? This needs to be fixed!! I want Genius back!! 😢
As for the 25k song limit, I sort of understand it, but also don't understand why they don't just have some sort of tiered storage program (i.e., you pay so much for the first 25k songs, an additional fee for the next 10k, etc).
