I just edited a video that was taken as 1080p. I tried exporting it to Apple devices as an iPhone, iPhone 4 and as an iPad. Two of them came out with the same 720p resolution and the last crashed the machine.
Do other people find that the export to Apple devices seems to be messed up? Are there workarounds without buying Compressor?
None of the Share functions on my computer work. I always export media and let Compressor do the job. Compressor never fails.
I've exported with just FCP X, exported using Compressor and exported several types of media to open in Compressor. None of crashed FCP X.
If it keeps crashing, I'd suggest trashing your preferences. If it still crashes, try deleting (in FCP X) your render files, then re-render and re-export.
