Just bought and downloaded Aperture 3 from Apple Store. Now it won't let me open. Everything is updated though. Any help?

What happens when you try?
Whenever I click to open aperture, a window pops up:
"Check with the developer to make sure Aperture works with this version of Mac OS X. you may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and Mac OS X."
I've updated and installed the newest version, and I've updated my entire system on my laptop (MacBook Pro Ver. 10.6.8.). I've restarted my laptop and every time I click on Aperture, the same window continues to pop up.
Any ideas?
