Safari keeps opening old webpages I was at during my last visit. How do I not have old visits pop up every time I open safari?

Every time I close Safari then reopen it it opens to the last webpage I was at. How do I start "fresh" every time?

Safari-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.7.2)
