iPhone 4s overheating when charging overnight

Hardware: iPhone 4s, 16 gig, black

Software: iOS 5.0.1

My issue: I go to bed and plug in my iPhone. My alarm goes off at 7:30 am and I realize that the phone is very warm and the battery level is at 90%. I am assuming this is because the phone has overheated and is no longer charging.

Is anyone else having a similar problem and is there a way to solve this problem?

(Note: I have it in a Casemate Tough case)

Hey I have the same issue. When I wake up I look at my iPhone 4s white for AT&T and its battery is at 92 percent or 87. And now my phone won't charge past 94 percent. So I'm going to get a different one this weekend from apple. I leave my iPhone 4s on top of my iPad original facing down invade of texts or anything that could cause the screen to light up and my iPhone 4 never has never done it since the launch. I don't know why it's doing this and I'm tired of it!!!!!!!!
