    13 day turn-around!!! I submitted my replacement iPod NANO request on March 7, and on March 20 I received my new iPod Nano 6G!  AMAZING!  Thank you APPLE!!!

    Maybe a silly question, didn't have time to read ALL 26 pages...do they send JUST the ipod or everything in it's original packaging (including charger etc)

    I just submitted a return request last night.  Did you get any say in color or memory capacity?  It makes sense to me that you could get a 16 gig rather than 8 if you payed them the $30 difference in price....

    I sent my ipod in at the begining of this thing in november and after not getting anything from apple after the return package i called to find out what was going on. After getting the run around from them because i didn't have a case number (because they never gave me on) and didn't have a serial number handy I figure out how to recover the serial from itunes. There is a xml document called ipoddevices.xml that lists every ipod ever attaced to your computer. with the serial i was able to get them to find the tracking number which they showed had arrived at their repair center but was never checked in. So my replacement claim was never started.

    within 2 days I now have a case ID and a email stating my replacement has been shipped.

     

    Anyone that hasn't heard anything from apple after sending in their ipod should call them to figure out why. As long as you give them a serial number they should be able to help you and in my case fix their mistake and get you replacement on track.

    In my case i really didn't use the 1st gen anymore they battery life was about 20 min and i already had a replacement. sent it in figuring i would get the same thing back with a better battery. very happy to get a new one with 4x capacity

    A 5th generation (oblong shape with video capability)?!? Or a 6th generation (square with touch screen)?

    Sorry, slip of the finger. It's a 6th gen with little square touch screen.

    the letter that i got with it said that due to the amount of replacements apple has had to replace some returns with a newer model. i dont mind at all.

    the ipod doesnt come with anything. just the ipod itself.

    I sent in an application to get the replacement box shipped but nothing has come, so I have to stare at my old 1st Gen whilst the others stuff up

    I'm almost 100 % sure that everyone now gets a new 6th Generation nano. I got mine today and i'm really pleased
