how do I access Pages documents in iCloud from my iMac?

I have icloud set up on my iPad and iPhone and iMac, however I cannot seem to access (from my iMac) any Pages documents or Keynote presentations from iCloud. Also, any documents that I create on the iMac do NOT make it to iCloud and hence I cannot access them from my i-devices.

21.5, Mac OS X (10.6.7), Macbook,4GB memory, iPad2 16GB

I am having the same problem. Everything was syncing fine before the update this weekend. Since the update, my documents are syncing on my iPad and iPhone. However, when I go to icloud.com on my iMac, none of the updated documents are there. Also, when I upload documents to iCloud on my iMac, they are not syncing with my iPad and iPhone. It's so confusing because the iPhone and iPad sync perfectly with one another but I cannot get it to communicate with my iMac or iCloud! I have tried turning on and off various things. Deleting and re-adding my icloud account, but nothing is working!

That's how it is designed to work. Nothing wrong on your side.

Reason : iwork09 on OS X Lion has zero icloud capabilities. It wont and it can't sync to iCloud, regardless of the "document and data" setting ticked active in the iCloud preference pane on a Mac computer. The same is true for Microsoft Office or any other productivity app . No such app syncs to icloud from a Mac.

iCloud "documents and data" currently works ONLY across iDevices that run iwork for iOS5 ( iphone, ipod, ipad ).

From your OSX or Windows you access the documents via Safari by visiting http://www.icloud.com and click on the iwork section. You have the option to download your idevices office documents in native iwork09 formats or MS Office and additionally as pdf. They go to your Download folder in the dock and can be opened then with your OSX apps.

To upload them again ( because the idevices wont see any changes naturally ) to the icloud you do it vice versa from the web-portal. This time you click inside the iwork section on the settings cog icon and choose "upload a document". Additionally you can simply drag and drop documents from Mac/PC desktop to Safari's content over there . Upload accepts MS Office formats and iwork09 formats, but no pdf.

Once uploaded, the documents will appear inside your iDevices iwork apps and you can continue your work on these devices. Changes are then mirrored again to icloud and across all devices, except Macs or PCs.

I have uploaded the documents into iCloud.com from my iMac, but they still are not syncing with my iPhone or iPad. Also, any documents created on my iOS devices in iWork are syncing with each other but they are not showing up when I log into iCloud.com on my iMac. It just doesn't make sense. Like I stated previously, it was working perfectly before the update! Now, I have no clue what the problem is.

try turning off and on again "use icloud" on the idevices iwork apps like I outlined before.

iOS5.0.1 now asks you if the documents shall be kept on the device. ( iOS5 just deleted them without asking you ) . So you do not loose data by doing so.

Once turned back on the icloud feature, the sync should start again. If not, then there are issues on Apples server side.
