How can i a get out of the safe boot or however you call it in the macbook air?

My version of OS is 10.6.8


The thing I see on the screen was a blue color background it started normally with the apple loading and then it turn blue.


i went online and it said that when i hear the staring up tone i press both shift keys till i see the apple and see a loading bar, then hold it till the end or midle of the bar when it loads.


it worked fine i had to put my password and it said SAFE BOOT and its okay but its super slow it wont open things.


HELP haw can i get it out of safe boot and make it stop doing that!!
