Downloaded screensavers not working

I bought the retail version of this at Sams Club. Good price, but got the same error. It will run the aquarium, just not as a screen saver. It is PowerPC code, and is running under Rosseta.

So assuming that these screen savers are for the OS version you're running I'd say that was your problem yes.

On another note, you know its better to let the screen sleep then use a screen saver right? {And that you don't really need a screen saver at all} they are more for eye candy now a days.

I asked a technician at an Apple store about downloading screensavers to the new iMac. I've noticed some work and some don't. He said about 80% should work but the other 20% were written to use the G5 PowerPC kernel and those wouldn't work. I'm not sure I knew what he was talking about or how to check if a screensaver is such but I've noticed most of the ones I used on my old G5 work, a small fraction don't.
