Inspect each door and look at the plastic tabs that tell the printer that a door is closed. A tab may have broken off. Look for each door switch and then put a piece of card stock in the path. See if the light goes off with in a few seconds.

Nov 21, 2011 6:44 PM in response to Appaloosa mac manby JustinJEMFarmApps,Thanks for the reply. I can't get into my original account so I had to create a new one.
Which doors would these be? just the front door where you put the paper in for manual mode? I can't think of any other doors on the printer, with the exeption of the back door that you use to get paper jams free.
Is there anything I should look for on the bottom or on the cassette drawer? I'm hoping I can find these tabs. I'm at work at the moment, but when I get home I'll give it a shot.
Thanks again!

Nov 26, 2011 6:25 AM in response to jsorrell84by Gil Ramirez,Hi Justin,
A couple of years ago I had the same issue with my LaserWriter II printer - the paper-out light kept flashing. The electrolytic capacitors on the printer's logic board had gone bad and needed to be replaced. After they were replaced, the issue went away. These printers are almost 20 years old and the parts inevitably wear out!
