Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I am adoring my MacBook Air 11", tricked out to maximum storage and processor speed, and it performs beautifully -- except with iMovie '11. Putting together a very simple, virtually effects-free short project, it beachballs constantly. Every scroll, every button click results in a stall. iPhoto's been great, even Garageband. Why is iMovie acting up? Is the MBA underpowered somehow?

"the spinning wait cursor is displayed automatically by the window server when an application cannot handle all of the events it receives. If an application does not respond for about 2 to 4 seconds, the spinning wait cursor appears."

I guess what I'm trying to determine is whether I should expect that any use of iMovie will be too much for my little MBA, or if this is isolated to this project, or if there's something wrong with my computer.
