Iphone 4S lags

I have this problem with my Iphone 4S: when I turn on the device and go to spotlight it freezes for a second and then the keyboard pops up without transition. This is an Iphone 4S Iphone and it's supposed to be faster, right?

I've been removing some apps in use and it seemed to improve a bit but still, do I need to erase manually apps for a good and smooth user experience on a brand-new-dual-core-super-fast-whatever device??!

I also noticed some 1-2 second lags when i leave the phone for a while and i wanna go to the lock screen...

Anyone noticed the same?

The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:

Restart... Reset... Restore...

iPhone Reset

Try this First... You will Not Lose Any Data...

Turn the Phone Off... ( if it isn’t already )

Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...

Wait for the Apple logo to Appear and then Disappear...

Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... (But can take Longer...)

Release the Buttons...

Turn the Phone On...
