Steps I took to remedy the issue:


1). Safari/Preferences/Privacy - Remove All Website Data

2). Sarari/Preferences/Extensions - Uninstalled all of them from prior OS.  I believe it may have been the AdBlocker extension.


Recently using 2009 iMac with Lion 10.7.2 OS, I had not been able to login to my account information on several sites.  There was an archived thread from years back that was not the same solution for me.  I couldn't reply there, so wanted to post it here in case anyone else encounters this.


Hope this helps someone else one day.
