Track Matte

You can use Image Mask.

Choose Object > Add Image Mask (or just press Command-Shift-M).

Then open the Image Mask Inspector, drag the layer to use as the mask into the Mask Source well.

You can also right-click a layer, and from the pop-up menu you can chose Image Mask, too.
