OSX Lion Mail: the font color in my junk mail folder

When I open my Junk Mail folder, (on my iMac or on my MacBook - doesn't matter) the font displays in a light peach color that is difficult for me to read. How do I get rid of the light peach and change to any color that will be easier to read. I don't care if it's black. I can open the {fonts and colors} and get to the color wheel, but am unable to cause any change. PLEASE, someone help.
