I noticed this problem after I updated to IOS 5.0.1. All of my music is loaded on there from iTunes, but when I press play, nothing happens. The play symbol changes to a pause symbol, but the music stays on 0:00. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Same problem here. Iphone seems to arbitrarily have decided which music it will play and which it will not (at least I can't seem to figure out what the albums have in common). It says "now playing" and displays the pause button rather than the paly button, but no music and the song time indicator stays put at 0:00. Other albums / songs play as usual.
It occurs to me now that the two albums it most rcently rejected were both NOT purchased via itunes (one was burned from a cd and one was purchased directly from the artist's website).. hmm..
Same here. If I restart, the music comes back for a very short time, then turns back off. I also don't have sound in videos I've taken. If I turn off wi-fi, it's worse. If I turn it back on, it won't let me uncheck my airport express or my dock.
My Iphone4 won't play music anymore.
