My Epson printer has gone offline. When I try to print, I get error message: Communication error, printer offline. How do I get it back online?
iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.7), I'm a tech-idiot, please be nice.
Start Windows 7
Devices and printers
Right click your printer icon
Select see what's printing
Click on the word printer
Remove check to use Printer Offline
If above does not help, you need to reinstall the software
Start XP
Settings
Printers and faxes
Left click the printer icon
Click the word printer
Remove check from use printer offline
Wireless
Reset the IP address
Turn printer off
Reboot the computer
Turn the printer on
If the problem continues
Reinstall the printer software

Then reset the printing system Reset the printing system on your Mac - Apple Support
Try restarting the printer (turn it off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on). Then restart your Mac.
