I live in Brazil and I'd like to order a 4S today.
The website says that delivery date is set to Dec 2 - Dec 9. The thing is that my friend is returning to Brazil on Dec 12.
My only question is: Does Apple deliver on time? Is there any chance that the phone will arrive earlier?

Apple will only sell you a device with a US shipping and billing address.
Unless you or your friend have a US credit card with a US billing address, you will not be able to purchase a device online via the Apple US website.
Walk into any Apple store and purchase one. Make certain you get the UNLOCKED version.
My friend is in Canada and iPhone 4S is sold out. No phone available.
And as far as I know, US stores aren't selling unlocked versions yet, are they?
