Q: Cant verify Apple ID

I created a new Apple ID.

System requests that I check mail to verify

I check mail

Click on link that takes me to verification page

I enter info

I get:

"This email address is already in use or you may already have an Apple ID associated with this email address. Please try again or sign in using your existing Apple ID."

If I try to manage apple ID it says I need to verify.

I click on send verification email.

I check mail

Click on link that takes me to verification page

I enter info

I get:

"This email address is already in use or you may already have an Apple ID associated with this email address. Please try again or sign in using your existing Apple ID."

 

...and again and again...

 

ANY IDEAS?

    Hi

    The problem is that you are using the wrong e-mail adress. How I know? I have at least 20mail from appel to confirme a new user. So please change your e-mail address.

    I am carlomar and will always be. So pleas stop mailing me on hotmail.com and .se ang gmail.com

    FWIW, try ExpressLane.

     

    They called me in less that one minute and after another minute waiting for an assistant, a gracious lady solved all my problems in about three minutes. She just asked me to re-start the set- up procedure and voilá!!!

     

    At this point I still don't know what was I doing wrong, after repeated ID Apple adrress and passwords set-ups that were verified. Go figure.

     

    At least, it's working fine now. Hope this helps.

    Having this problem as well. I finally managed to set up a new email account that I could get working - but I still can't get any of the other email addresses I tried to connect to it - including emails I set up from scratch.

     

    I was trying to set up iMessage so now I have to give a different email to people in order to allow them to message me. Not ideal at all.

    I GOT IT!!!!

    Thanks to a post on another thread(below)... this works! It is not to hard but it is just very inconveinient! APPLE FIX IT

    1) Visit My Apple ID at https://appleid.apple.com/.

     

    2) Click the Manage your account link on the right sideof the page.

     

    3) Enter the account name (Apple ID) and the password you used when creating the account.

     

    4) Change the email address associated with your account.

     

    5) Send new verification email"

     

    6) try if you have a yahoo account

    Think I figured this out if others are still having trouble. My email included full stops (name.lastname@mailservice.com) which can be removed without it causing issues, it just caused issues with Apples service.
