Mine came via Federal Express, and I had to be there to sign for it.

Peeps, you need to relax a little bit. My friend had his received by Apple on November 22nd, and has only just received his (Latest 8Gb). Mine has been in the system since 15th December (sent in early November), and with the volume of iPods they have in the system, I'm quite happy to wait a little time, rather than ***** about not getting a 10 business day turn around.

Remember, they still have 'real' repairs to deal with globally, if I was Apple then the mountain of Gen 1 returns, mostly just dug out of drawers, well out of warranty, and sent in for a complimentary replacement, would definately wait behind my paying customers or genuine warranty returns.

Lets all just have a little patience and they'll get round to replacing them all eventually - I think 60 days to replace a relatively old and unused product is fair!

hey man, y ya took it as if i'm attacking apple!!!

ofcours not, actually i'm very thankful to apple for this gr8 replacement, whatever i get back

i just can't wait + i've been always depending on my gr8 lovely nano so i'm missing it, that's ALL

and again i repeat i'm very thankful to apple for this replacement, and i totally respect in them the loyalty plan which they always and forever follow.

Wasn't directed at you Mohab, my apologies if it looked that way. Yours was just the last post to reply to! I'm also a loyal apple customer, and appreciate that 99% of apple customers are!

I was originally worried when I sent mine off, and it wasn't officially received by Apple for the best part of 5 weeks. But once I'd heard they had something like 1.5 million requests for replacements within a fortnight instead of the expected 70-80,000, I backed out of worry just a little bit!

It's just getting on my nerves that people are worried that they sent them in late December and are now moaning that they haven't had it back within 10 days. I understand that it may be the only music device people have, but if they've used them for years without problems, why send them back now, then moan that it's taking too long to come back! I use mine for jogging, so was hoping to get it back for my 2012 new years resolutions - still jogging but no music for now!

Just for info to everyone, I sent mine November 6th 2011, received by Apple 15th December 2011, and I'm still in the queue here in the UK. They're not going to forget about you everyone!

Finally my status has changed to 'shipped'. I put in tacking number on UPS and it said it had already been delivered to me! 8 weeks seemed like a lifetime! Lol

I have a question. My 1st gen Nano  is covered by the program and I shipped in the box they game me. The thing is, after the battery went to crap like 1 year after I kinda was careless with it and while moving some stuff around, my dresser fell on it and broke the click wheel and screen. So I've pretty much been using it as a flash drive, will they still replace it since it still has the possiblitly of blowing up my house? lol

I think you will be fine. Was it obvious that the screen was broken? I don't think that would matter even if it was. Mine was not functional and wouldn't turn on or anything and I just recieved the email saying that imy 6th gen was shipped. Woo Hoo!

sent mine on Nov 29th, and today nearly 6 weeks to the day I get a mail from Apple saying my new one has shipped and I should get it Mon/Tues, sweet,  thanks Apple !

That´s my repair status today. Still waiting for the box or whatever Apple sends to me... Lucky me!!!

    iPod nano
    Serial Number:
    Repair ID:
    Service Requested:
    November 14, 2011

Still sitting here after seven weeks. I'm not complaining as I've gotten my money's worth with the nano and it still works great. However, I just want to make sure I'm not missing a step somewhere.

I will call Apple next week to this number 1-800-767-2775, and ask to talk with 'Customer Relations', and see what happens.

I've been busy, so will try to have time to call.

In this post, 33man quoted that he call Apple and received the box:

    Wish me luck!!!
