How do I open a .wri (Windows wordpad) file attachment in ipad?

I have a user who receives system generated reports in WRI format via email on his Ipad2.

We cannot change the file type from the server generating this file.

Is there a way to open this file in IPAD by designating an application to this '.wri' file type?

Can I map the file type to certain application in ipad? IOS version on my IPAD2 is 5.0.1.

Unless you search the app store and find a third party app that will open them, you can't.

We have the same problem at my company. Did you find a solution to opening .wri files on the iPad?

Again, you would have to search the app store for an app that supports them.
