I'm planning to buy Factory Unlocked Iphone 4S in NY. one of the Apple Store guy told me that Factory unlocked will only be available online. Is it true? If so where can i buy Factory Unlocked in NY? Plz suggest.

The actual brick and morter stores do not carry the Unlocked version of the 4S. You would have to purchase it through the online store. Hope that helps.

Until the unlocked iPhone is available in Apple stores, the only option is to purchase online.
Here's a better idea... buy the iPhone in the country where you intend to use it as the warranty is NOT international.
come up to ontario. you can get factory unlocked iphones at the apple store here!
