I was having the same problem today... It looks like it was a bug with the latest OS update to 5.01

Heres what I did to fix the problem:

Goto: SETTINGS>GENERAL>RESET>RESET ALL SETTINGS

Then follow the commands and reset your phone. You'll have to re-enter some info like Wi-Fi settings/passwords.... and then turn Siri and Location services back on.... but thats it and Siri should start to work again.

Maybe Apple will come out with another fix, but for now, this seems to do the trick.... Good luck and let me know how you make out.

Has anyone gotten a different follow up response from Siri? I got the original message "I'm really sorry about this, etc." a couple of times yesterday, and then again today, over a simple request to "Call Dad". II simply tried again immediately and the request went through. This morning however when i tried after receiving the original message from Siri, I got a follow up message, " There's something wrong and I can't answer your question right now. Please try again in a little while". I've had other issues with this phone and Apple is sending a replacement. Before goggling this, thought it may be an issue endemic to this particular unit. Doesn't look like it. This is my first Apple device and I am very interested to see how Apple will handle these issues, espcially of course mine.

Woody316, thanks for the tip, tried the reset, unfortunately have since gotten the "I am really sorry about this but I cannot take any requests right now" response.
