Just recenlty my ipod touch refuses to play tracks from an album in order. I consistently plays them shuffled. I have a nano, a classic and an iphone too and none of them seem to have this issue. I have tried removing all the tracks from my itouch and putting them back on after chosing the reset option from the menu but no joy. Help please!
What computer do you use Windows or Mac?
For Mac there's a free widget called TunesText 0.8.14 which does a lot for you. Google it.
Not so sure on Windows, I guess you just use the browser and search.
Anyway it's so easy to do it manually, select a song in iTunes then do File > Get Info, a dialog will appear. In Lyrics tab cut the lyrics you've found and paste it in. Sync it to iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad.
Play any track from an album.
Tap the screen.
You'll see the song progress bar above with 2 symbols below it (left and right)
Tap the cross arrow (right side) to stop/enable shuffle
When you right click on a song & click on "Get Info" > "Info", there should be "Track number" in the right corner. Have you tried setting them in order? It works for me

Another tip:
If you put lyrics in iTunes > Get Info and sync, you also get to see the lyrics as well with the same tap.
