what is the classic environment? every time i try to install a new application, is says you can't open the application because the classic environment is no longer supported. what does this mean? help please

Are you trying to install applications from OS 9 or prior? The classic environment was for non-Intel Macs to run software written for Mac OS 9 when the computer was booted into Mac OS X.
i guess i am... i'm not familiar with macs. this is all new to me. can i fix it? i have all this software that i need to be using
You need to find a Mac that runs OSX 10.4 or older. That is the only solution that I am aware of. Please read the link provided by AnaMusic 🙂
