Quicktime Installation failed Error Code -3

I have tried to install the latest version of itunes. All I get is the above message now.

Quicktime Installation failed Error Code -3

Anyone else had this and what does it mean???

Please help as cannot get onto itunes at all and cant update. Its driving me mad!!
