I accidentally dragged about 1,000 folders into my finder sidbar. Crap. I'd really like to get rid of them quickly and not have to drag them out one at a time. Any ideas? I tried trashing the com.apple.sidebarlists.plist but it didn't do the trick.

After pulling the plist did you relaunch Finder?
Finder icon>(control-option)>relaunch
I did relaunch finder. I've tried this:
Trash plist > Relaunch finder > Empty trash
Trash plist > Empty trash > Relaunch Finder
No luck. Is Lion handling this preference differently than SL?
Anyone?
To see what plist file is changed, list ~/Library/Preferences by date, drag out 1 folder and see which files are updated.
Thanks Tony. This helped me figure out the problem!
I have Path Finder installed and it turns out that the Path Finder plist was also storing the sidebar items. If I just trashed the finder and sidebar plists, the Path Finder plist would automatically repopulate the items. Trashing all three plists at the same time with Path Finder closed then relaunching Finder solved the issue!
