Hey Apple, what they heck were you thinking? Everytime I scan and save a document, I have to search my files for "scan" files and then change the name. Stupid move. Has Microsoft taken over Apple? Give us back this simple function.

You are not addressing Apple, just other Apple users. Why don't you just set the desired name and location of the file in Image Capture before you scan?
That's great.
For general use, "Duplicate" serves the same function as "Save As".
What if I want to "save as" a pdf or word file. It won't work.
Two year old post, but just duplicate then go to File ans Save as PDF or Save As (one of the three) Word .doc options.
