how do i setup powerpoint as a default
After i download a powerpoint document and go to open it up it does it under text edit as a default how do I make powerpoint my default.

Right click (cntl click) one of the documents and select "get info". In the Resulting screen change "Open with:" to Powerpoint. Then click the "change all" button.

Powerpoint should recognise the document. It is likely missing the .ppt extension.
Under Get Info select show extension or add the extension manually to the filename.
Double-clicking the document should now launch Powerpoint.
