Homesharing - rating not working and default library selection

Hi all,


I have not found an answer to this so here goes... when using the shared library to play music in my ipad/iphone (using music app) I can't rate any songs... I rate them and after a few seconds the rating goes away. Is this normal behaviour? Is there any way to rate songs in a library from a device to which they are being streamed using homesharing?


also, is there any way to make a device (ipad) open by default the shared library (in a mac) instead of the local library? I have my ipad with no music because I always stream from the mac mini using home sharing but for this everytime I use it I need to change it from the local library (empty) to the shared library on the mac.

I didn't know this, I just assumed you weren't supposed to rate shared content, which is why it disappeared. I'm not sure this is a good feature. I don't mind people sharing my library, but I don't want them changing it.
