since lion, birthdays no longer auto inserted in ical from address book

Prior to lion install birthdays in address book auto installed in birthday calendar in ical. After Lion install new birthday entries no longer install automatically in ical birthday calendar. When birthdays manually installed in iCal, the birthday calendar no longer appears as an option. Have to install in home calendar manually. The birthdays and birthday calendar still appear for all previous birthdays noted in address book prior to Lion install.
