When resotring from WAN using Lion I encountered "6002F" which suggested I search at the support site. And I have not found anything. Anyone know how to follow through with this so I can complete my OS restore.

Hey , did anyone found solution for this ? I just installed a new harddrive in my mac and when I am trying to reboot it by clicking commad+option+r ! Golbe come with a message - starting Internet recovery but then i get apple.com/support -6002F !! Any help is appreciated pls ! Thanks

ChaseWD, It turns out to be a corruption issue with the Lion Restor partition and can be fixed by replacing the HDD. Apple warranty HDD comes with a Lion restor partition on it already. I would be cautious about where and how you download a new recovery partition.
I don't think that is the issue in my case. Im talking about wiping my hard drive, booting from a USB restore disk, and then installing. Its giving me a "Can't download needed files to install OSX" message.
Then my second option was to use internet recovery. I can connect to my network just fine and internet recovery poppes up, but then it gives me 6002F error code.
You are saying that has to do with my hard drive, even though I am booting via the internet/apple servers?

This is usually caused by a RAM issue. Try replacing the RAM and doing the restore again.

For anyone coming back to this post..replacing the RAM worked for me. I was doing (command+option+R) to use Internet Recovery, the Internet Recovery would show up and then go to error message 6002F. Read this post and I used the RAM cards of another MacBook Pro and then the Internet Recovery worked perfectly well.
