Select photos not appearing in iphoto to retrieve from iPhone

Hi there

I have a problem with my 4S 32gb iPhone. I have taken many shots & a few videos on a recent holiday and I can see them all fine in the camera roll.

When I connect to iphoto (v 9.2.1) on Lion (10.7.2) - both my imac and Mac Book Pro - only a selection of them appear and the rest aren't anywhere to be seen.

I've tried using image capture to access them too - but no luck.

I've also used 8mm app to create videos, copied them to the camera roll, again, appear fine on the phone, but don't appear on iphone or image capture.

Any help hugely appreciated.
