Boot Camp Assistant Not Responding

Hello,

Two weeks ago I created a Windows 7 Partition on my Early 2008 iMac (with OSX Lion: 10.7.2) which didn't work out so well. The iMac was having so many problems, I uninstalled Windows and ran some Disk Utility things to fix the OSX side. Now that that seems to be working correctly, I would like to re-install Windows, however this time the 32 bit version (rather than the 64 bit).

I tried to partition the hard drive using Boot Camp Assistant, but when I attempt to do so, the program "hangs" and I have to Force Quit as it ends up not responding.

I am at a loss here? Any ideas?
