I think I have a lemon...

While working on computer, it tends to have a mind of it's own and starts racing through pictures or where ever I am to the right, very fast. if my cursor is on the toolbar above it will race through the titles until it gets to the far right by the clock and then start thumping like it hit a wall and can not go any further. Purchased the IMac in April and I've had it in once and it started doing it again. Has this ever happened to anyone??

First thing to check is in System Preferences to see if you have enabled Universal Access by inadvertance. This wouod account for the unusual behavior of your pointer.

Hello

try use a mouse pad , a simple sheet of wite paper for testing

try clean any debries , dust on optical sensor may help too

try replace battery

try un-paire / re-pair bluetooth mouse from bluetooth assistant

If you're still under warranty and already had it in once for the same problem, I'd say take it back to establish a pattern.

Echoing others, contact Apple Service, iMac Service or Apple's Express Lane. Do note that if you have AppleCare's protection plan and you're within 50 miles (80 KM) of an Apple repair station, you're eligible for onsite repair since yours is a desktop machine.
