Can I get Youtube video into iMovie or iDVD?

I'm trying to get Youtube video into iMovie or at least iDVD. I can see it in the list in iDVD but I can't actually put it in as a movie. The file format is .flv. I used Real Player Downloader because I don't seem to have anything else to download Youtube videos.
