I'm trying to convert some Apple Lossless songs to AAC and every time I try (different songs) I get "Unknown error occurred (9041).

I was able to drag the song to the desktop, open it in QuickTime and export it as an AAC so the files aren't corrupted.

I'm running Lion and the latest version of iTunes

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.1), iPad 2 and iPhone 3GS

I am getting this as well. Using Lion (10.7.2)  plus iTunes 10.5.1. Have seen this for a few months now across all versions of Lion and ITunes.

I have been able to convert to AAC by first converting to AIFF  and then to AAC. This is a pan though.

I have Sonos player which cannot play Apple Lossless and am stuck with over 2000 files to convert!

    Any ideas!

Just use Toast - that's how I got around this. This is why I despise Apple media related updates (Quicktime, iTunes, etc.) Because they almost always add some new form of protection that is better for them and worse for us.
