Lion forgets wireless networks on login and waking from sleep
Problem:
Since installing Lion my iMac forgets its preferred wireless networks on login or waking from sleep, forcing me to both select my network and re-enter my password, every time. This problem persists despite two software upgrades and numerous attempts at fixing it myself. Attempted solutions are listed below. Any new ideas, or is it time to just call Lion what it is (a lemon) and demand a refend?
Running:
OS X 10.7.2
27" iMac 3.06 GHz Core 2 Duo
Airport Express 802.11g (software version 6.3)
Attempted Solutions:
- Repaired disk permissions (both with Disk Utility and in Recovery Mode)
- reset Airport Express to factory settings
- deleted all Network system preferences (locations, preferred networks, etc) and recreated them
- deleted com.apple.aif.plist
- set a manual IP address with DHCP
- moved Wi-Fi to the top of the service order list
- added 8.8.8.8 as an additional DNS entry
- Renewed DHCP Lease
