Can't burn bootable DVD. Err: Device not supporting this operation

I'm trying to create bootable DVD of Lion. The following error message pops up after clicking "Burn" under "Disk utylity":

"Unable to burn "InstallESD.dmg" (The disc drive doesn't support the requested burn operation)".

Can anyone help?????

More background:

1. Running clean&fresh install of Lion

2. MacBookPro i7 early spring 2011

3. DVD drives's spec:

MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-898:

Firmware Revision: HE13

Cache: 1024 KB

Reads DVD: Yes

CD-Write: -R, -RW

DVD-Write: -R, -R DL, -RW, +R, +R DL, +RW

Write Strategies: CD-TAO, CD-SAO, DVD-DAO

4. Media type (DVD) which I'm intending to burn it to: TDK +R, 16x, 4.7 GB

Media:

Type: DVD+R

ID: CMC MAG M01

Blank: Yes

Erasable: No

Overwritable: Yes

Appendable: Yes

5. I was able to burn a DVD (to exactly the same DVD type) when doing the burn from under iPhoto and when launching the burn function in Finder ("right click" and select "Burn xxxx file to disc..."

6. BUT I am getting the above mentioned error message when attempting to burn the bootable DVD from under Disk Utilities. I'm following the steps recommended on various forums explaining how to make the bootable DVD drive. Briefly:

a. placed InstallESD.dmg on my desktop

b. launched Disk Utility. Verified (checksummed) the InstallESD.dmg file

c. Press the Burn button

d. The error message pops up..... 😟

(The same happens with x8[max speed], x4, x2.4)

Thanks for the prompt reply. What you say is correct - the installer deleted itself after the instalation.

I then downloaded Lion again (another 8 hrs went by) from AppStore (using the "trick" with pressing "Option" button which changed "Installed" status into "Install" button) and therefore I DO have the Lion instalation content (including the mentioned .dmg file) on my computer ready for burning. (BTW, I've managed to burn a DVD with it from "Finder's" menu. I guess though, that such DVD will not work as the bootable one. Am I correct on it?

So, the status is that I have Lion's "InstallESD.dmg" file visible in the left side of Disk Utility window - the "Burner" (in Disk Utility) just doesn't want to start burning a dvd with this file. I need some suggestions on resolving it. Thank you in advance!

Ok, so problem seems to be resolved. Not exactly sure what did the trick - perhaps it was restarting of the computer (can't think of anything else right now). Anyhow, today after starting the computer I performed the steps as in my first post, clicked "Burn" and.... it started to burn the DVD straight away.
